We help communities thrive through Native knowledge, partnership, and innovation.

Old Growth Solutions is a Native women-run parent company that builds and supports a growing ecosystem of ventures. Together, our organizations create opportunities that strengthen Native communities through economic development, education, and entrepreneurship. We also help people of all backgrounds build meaningful relationships with Native communities, learn from generations of cultural knowledge, and become better stewards of the land they call home.

Old Growth Solutions was born from decades of work in Indigenous food sovereignty, traditional knowledge, and systems change. What began as storytelling and community nourishment has matured into a focused effort to systematize and scale our work, transforming years of on the ground experience into ventures that distribute knowledge, cultivate leadership, and sustain Indigenous-centered enterprise.

The name Old Growth honors the ancient forests and food systems that have upheld our health through generations. This ecosystem is resilient, interdependent, and thriving through networks of exchange. Like root systems, Old Growth Solutions supports its connected ventures feeding them with resources, strategy, and vision, while allowing each to grow in its own direction.

Our Story

Our Ecosystem

No single initiative can address every opportunity. That's why Old Growth Solutions brings together a family of interconnected ventures, each focused on a distinct area of impact while contributing to a shared vision of stronger Native communities.

The foundation of our ecosystem, providing strategic leadership, partnerships, and shared infrastructure that support Native-led impact, from food sovereignty and native food and plant education to immersive Native-led travel.

The People Behind Our Work

Our team brings together experience across Native food systems, education, design, strategy, entrepreneurship, and community development, creating opportunities that strengthen communities and connect people to place.

Our Values

Our work is rooted in long-term relationships, community collaboration, and Indigenous ways of knowing. We believe meaningful change happens when communities lead, partnerships are built on trust, and solutions are designed for generations to come.

Reciprocal

We ensure that all our work returns value to the people and places that sustain it.

Culturally Informed

We believe Indigenous knowledge is powerful, practical, and vital to the future.

Story Forward

We bring Indigenous knowledge to life through stories, experiences, and thoughtful design that inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and strengthen relationships.

Rooted in Relationship

  • "Old Growth Solutions provided exceptional, culturally grounded facilitation and strategic planning support for our Tribal Food Sovereignty retreat, creating a welcoming and respectful environment where Indigenous voices, including our elders, were honored throughout the process. Their team was professional and responsive, fostering trust, consensus, and meaningful collaboration. Our retreat strengthened alignment, cohesion, and momentum, leaving our group with a shared vision to guide our work over the next two years."

  • "The experiential quality of these activities, the opportunity to build relationships with plants, and the time spent learning together meant so much. I especially appreciated the guidance on doing this work respectfully. That perspective is such a gift."

  • "I worked with Savannah to create a custom training for our team at Wild Rivers Land Trust. She started with a broad overview of indigenous history and then focused-in on Oregon-specific treaties and Native Nations. Both Board and Staff were moved by her knowledge, passion and approach at delivering accurate and sensitive information in an approachable and appropriate manner. I would recommend Savannah and definitely will consider her for future training opportunities."
