Valerie Segrest (Muckleshoot) is a Native food systems leader, strategist, and educator who helps Tribal Nations, nonprofits, and philanthropy advance Indigenous-led solutions through systems change, cultural revitalization, and community-centered partnerships.

Valerie Segrest is the Founder and CEO of Old Growth Solutions, where she works alongside Tribal Nations, nonprofits, foundations, and public agencies to advance Indigenous-led strategies that strengthen community health, food sovereignty, and self-determination.

With more than two decades of experience, Valerie specializes in helping organizations build authentic partnerships with Tribal communities by grounding policy, planning, evaluation, and philanthropy in Indigenous values and ways of knowing. Her work spans strategic planning, Native food systems, Indigenous evaluation, land and cultural stewardship, and cross-sector collaboration.

Known for connecting big-picture systems thinking with practical action, Valerie helps partners move beyond consultation toward lasting relationships that create meaningful change for Tribal communities and future generations.
